Who we are
Hi, I’m Shakima Dupont, MS, LPC, founder of Rae of Hope Counseling and ReeClaimed Sober Living.
Two Services. One Shared Mission.
My name is Shakima Dupont, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, mother, entrepreneur, and community mental health professional. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges, personal crises, disabilities, trauma, and major life transitions.
This work has shown me that healing requires more than simply surviving a difficult moment. People need a safe place to be heard, practical tools to move forward, and a supportive environment where they can rebuild their lives without judgment.
That belief inspired me to create Rae of Hope Counseling and ReeClaimed Living—two separate businesses connected by one shared mission: helping people find hope, stability, and a path forward.
Rae of Hope Counseling
Rae of Hope Counseling was created to provide a compassionate and empowering space where individuals can be honest about what they are experiencing and receive support that extends beyond the counseling session.
My approach to counseling is practical, supportive, and centered on the individual. I want clients to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and prepared to use the tools we discussed in their everyday lives.
Rae of Hope Counseling supports individuals facing concerns such as:
Depression and anxiety
Relationship and family stress
Motherhood and life transitions
Emotional regulation
Self-esteem and personal growth
Stress, grief, and difficult life experiences
The goal is not to tell people how to live their lives. It is to help them recognize their strengths, better understand themselves, and feel empowered to make healthy and meaningful changes.
ReeClaimed Living
Through my work in mental health and crisis services, I have also seen how difficult it can be for someone to maintain progress without safe and stable housing. A person can complete treatment, make a commitment to recovery, and still struggle when they return to an environment that does not support their sobriety.
ReeClaimed Living was created to help fill that gap.
It will provide women and men in recovery with a structured, substance-free, and supportive place to live while they work toward stability and independence. Residents will be encouraged to maintain their recovery, follow household expectations, develop healthy routines, pursue employment, manage responsibilities, and build a strong foundation for their futures.
ReeClaimed Living is about more than providing a bed. It is about creating a home where individuals can feel safe, supported, accountable, and hopeful while reclaiming their lives.
Why This Mission Matters to Me
I understand how deeply life can change through loss, hardship, responsibility, and unexpected transitions. As a mother, counselor, and woman building something meaningful for my family and community, I know that moving forward often requires courage, support, and faith—even when the entire path is not yet visible.
I created these businesses because I believe people deserve opportunities to begin again. They deserve support that recognizes their humanity, respects their experiences, and reminds them that their current circumstances do not have to become their permanent story.
Rae of Hope Counseling provides a space for healing. ReeClaimed Living provides a place for rebuilding. Together, they represent hope in action.
